I had the pleasure of working with one of the most brilliant pianists in Europe, Franco D’Andrea. The music (based on ideas from D’Andrea) is written for a mixed orchestra made up of classical musicians, all members of the PMCE (Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble), and jazz musicians conducted by the amazing Tonino Battista.

The title of the piece I composed is called “Homeland”, inspired by a folk melody from the Canary Islands. It is performed by the Orchestra Jazz della Sardegna conducted by Mario Raga. You can listen to it here.

I had the immense pleasure of composing the music for the Emeterio Gutiérrez Albelo Poetry Prize (one of the greatest exponents of Spanish surrealism) in its XXXIV Edition. This project combines music with poetry with a top-notch cast: Fabiola Socas and Ayatimas Brito on vocals, the poet Ernesto Rodríguez Abad and the Canary Islands’ Big Band.
